Litepaper

What Is a Litepaper?

A litepaper is the lightweight version of the whitepaper. Whitepapers are a requirement for launching a blockchain or cryptocurrency project. All the details about the proposed cryptocurrency or platform are specified in them. Unfortunately, this makes them heavy to read as the average document usually has about fifty pages.

The internet requires that everything happens quickly, and communication is slowly beginning to reflect this. Video and audio communications are slowly taking over, and the time needed for reading through a heavy document is becoming scarce.

Litepapers cater to the shorter attention spans of investors looking to assess if a project is worth investing their money. Litepapers are the lighter, shorter, and crisper versions of whitepapers. The objective of the litepaper is to cover the broader details of the project without providing exhaustive information.

The aim of the litepaper is like that of an advertisement or a movie trailer. It is supposed to attract or tempt its readers to invest, trade, or want to learn more about the project. Whitepapers are a core resource for getting all information about a crypto project. They usually cover all the hard-core technical areas of a project.

While most crypto devotees may be willing to invest the time to read a highly technical paper, it is of interest to them. However, reading such a document is not easy for everyone, mainly if the purpose is to attract investors.

Topics Included In a Litepaper

The average investor will not be interested in the fine details of how nodes interact or how an automated market maker will operate. Instead, they are concerned about more information about transaction fee distributions, rates charged to users, and distribution percentages.

A litepapers should clearly define what the product or service is planning to do, how it fits into blockchain technology, and how the token economy will impact it. In addition, information about the team managing the project, the product, the rollout plan, and the financials should all be covered in detail.
