Rain receives full VARA license for exchange, broker-dealer and margin trading services in Dubai

Rain receives a full VARA license in Dubai for exchange and broker-dealer services, including margin trading, and is now licensed by three GCC regulators.

RainEditorial Team

Dubai, UAE, October 13, 2026: Rain, a leading regulated crypto platform in the Middle East, announced today that its Dubai entity, Rain MENA FZE, has received a full license from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). The license covers VA Exchange Services and VA Broker-Dealer Services, including margin trading, and follows the In-Principle Approval (IPA) that VARA granted Rain earlier this year.

Under the license, Rain MENA FZE is permitted to serve retail, qualified and institutional investors across all activities. Rain MENA FZE will operate in line with VARA's VA Exchange Services Rulebook and VA Broker-Dealer Services Rulebook.

Rain now holds licenses from three regulators in the GCC: the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), the ADGM Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA), and VARA in Dubai. The full license allows Rain to offer its services to customers in Dubai, including margin trading.

"We are not a global platform opening a regional office. We are a regional platform with global intent, and Dubai is where that becomes practical. VARA has licensed Rain MENA FZE for VA Exchange Services as well as VA Broker-Dealer Services, and the exchange license is the part that travels: a regulated venue in Dubai is something clients and partners anywhere can connect to." Laurent Girouille, Director, Rain MENA FZE
