What Is a FUDster?
FUD, an acronym for fear, uncertainty, and doubt, is a state of mind. It's the spreading of false information. A FUDster is a person who spreads FUD.
FUD in Cryptocurrency
FUD is particularly effective in cryptocurrency because each altcoin is currently much more speculative than the currency Bitcoin. This indicates that these assets are extremely volatile, making it difficult to assign a value. As a result, price fluctuations can be largely based on frequently completely wrong information or of little or no value.
Why Being a FUDster Isn’t Always A Bad Thing
FUD doesn't have to be bad. For instance, due to a significant number of BTC miners fleeing China in pursuit of a more welcoming environment, BTC mining is now a greener business that is primarily conducted in the United States under tougher rules.
FUD also allows investors and traders to acquire assets more affordably and trade in volatility. For example, Bitcoin's price is already back at its pre-FUD highs, demonstrating that the FUD wasn't at all a bad thing but rather an opportunity to go long and profit from price swings in between.
How To Handle FUD In Crypto?
Two major strategies for dealing with FUD are technical analysis and emotional restraint. It's frequently suggested to less experienced users to just HODL.
