Reef is an EVM compatible blockchain designed for DeFi, NFTs and gaming. Reef Chain is built using Substrate Framework, a development framework for building customized blockchains. Reef Chain provides high scalability, allows for on-chain upgradability, and supports Solidity and EVM, allowing developers to migrate their DApps from Ethereum without any change in the codebase. Reef utilizes a Nominated Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism to secure the network thus replies on community-voted nodes to approve transactions. The REEF token is the native token on Reef Chain and can be used for paying protocol fees, staking, yield distribution, and on-chain governance. REEF is also available as ERC20 token on Ethereum and can be converted into the native REEF token in 1:1.
