1 Jager is 0.00000001 BNB. Cryptocurrencies are digital assets made up of lines of code that can be divided into smaller components. For example, Satoshi is a Bitcoin component named after the mysterious Bitcoin founder, Satoshi Nakamoto. One Satoshi (0.00000001 BTC) is one hundred millionth of a Bitcoin.
Understanding the Idea of Jager
Jager was the telegram handle of the then-Binance Community Manager at the time. CZ chose the term Jager for the smallest denomination of a BNB after being a Binance Angel since the company's inception and then a Community Manager.
Cryptocurrencies are similar to gold in that they are precious and have a limited supply. Cryptocurrencies, unlike gold, may be broken into smaller pieces to make them more controllable and easier to spend. The number of decimal places used also affects the value of coins in circulation.
Certain cryptocurrencies only have two decimal places, whereas others have eight. Bitcoin, for instance, includes an extra zero at the end, giving it two more decimal places than Litecoin (eight) as well as four more than Dogecoin (six). This means that Dogecoin's price does not need to rise as much as Bitcoin or Litecoin's to acquire the same value.
