All-Time High
All-Time High
What is an all-time high?
An all-time high (ATH) is the highest price ever recorded in the trading history of an asset, whether it be cryptocurrency or stocks, and represents a record high for that asset's price movement.
Definition of all-time high
The term "all-time high" (ATH) refers to the highest price an asset, whether a stock in traditional finance or a cryptocurrency, has reached during its trading history. The all-time high is the opposite of the all-time low, which is the lowest price an asset has ever reached. It is easy to track the all-time high because the asset's price trajectory is straightforward to measure. For example, Bitcoin reached its all-time high of $126,210 in October 2025.
What does the all-time high indicate?
The all-time high indicates the highest market value an asset has ever reached. Additionally, the price movement history can be used to identify the peak as a zone that technical analysts use to determine potential trading areas in the event of a pullback from that level or a breakout to form a new price peak.
Related term: Traditional Finance (TradiFi) The traditional financial system in which central authorities such as banks, insurance companies, and stock markets manage and control funds.
