Trusted Device Verification

Security is a core value that anchors our service to you. To provide an extra layer of protection against phishing and scam attempts, we built the Trusted Device Verification feature, a new security measure that ensures only you can access your Rain account from recognized devices.

How it works

  1. New device login alert
    Whenever you log in from a new device, you will receive an email with details of the login such as device type, location, and IP address.

  2. Explicit approval required
    In the same email, you will be prompted to approve the device if you recognize the login information by clicking the "Trust This Device" button in the email in order to be able to access your Rain account.

  3. Enhanced security on future logins
    Once you approve the device, all future logins will require username, password, OTP, and the device details that you have previously approved. You will only be able to access your Rain account if the device details match the ones you have approved in the past.

Why this matters

  • Prevents unauthorized access even if someone has your password and OTP.

  • Alerts you immediately if someone attempts to log in from an unknown device.

  • Adds an additional checkpoint to strengthen your account security.
