How to send crypto

Rain has developed a simple, fast, and secure process for sending cryptocurrency, prioritizing the safety of your funds.

Before you start

Always make sure to select the correct network on Rain and on the receiving platform when conducting a send transaction to avoid loss of funds. Learn more about the supported networks on Rain.

In order to send crypto from your Rain wallet to any external wallet, you can follow the steps below:

  1. Visit the market or portfolio screen and select the coin you want to send.

  2. Tap Trade and select Send.

  3. Enter the amount you want to send.

  4. Add the address you are sending the funds to, or you can scan the QR code.

  5. Tap preview send.

  6. Review the transaction details then tap Send Now.

  7. Finally, check the box “I confirm the beneficiary’s address belongs to the beneficiary” and tap confirm.

  8. You will be prompted to enter a verification code. Enter the code you receive through SMS or 2fa app and tap Submit.

You will be requested to provide additional information about your send transaction. This step is critical to complete your send transaction while ensuring the safety of your assets. Read more about it here.

Important notes

  • When sending XRP, always check whether or not a destination tag or memo is required before sending XRP to any wallet. Make sure to always include the destination tag to avoid losing your funds. Click here to learn more about sending XRP from you Rain account.

  • Sending your cryptocurrency to a wrong address or an unsupported network will result in irreversible loss of funds. Make sure to check the address and network to avoid losing your funds.

  • Send transactions may take 10 minutes to an hour to be completed, depending on the network condition. You can always check the number of confirmations on your transaction by viewing the transaction details.
