Axie Infinity is based on a blockchain-based gaming model, where creatures (Axies) are represented as non-fungible tokens (NFTs) that can be owned, traded, and bred. Players typically need three creatures (Axies) to participate in battle, and can create new Axies by breeding them, combining the genetic traits of two Axies in exchange for AXS and SLP tokens. In the combat system, players battle against other players or other Axies using a team of three Axies, the outcome of battles depends on the Axies’ attributes, such as speed, health, and abilities, as well as Ability Cards used during combat, and players earn SLP token rewards based on their performance. The game also features Land NFTs, which can be owned, developed, and used to gather resources and interact with elements of the game world.
