About PAX Gold

Pax Gold (PAXG) is an ERC-20 standard stablecoin backed by gold. The governing concept behind PAXG is that one PAXG should in theory always trade closely to the market value of one ounce of gold. At its core, Pax Gold intends to make investing in gold more accessible for everyone. The token aims to achieve this by combining the best characteristics of gold, such as relative price stability, with the unique opportunities offered by cryptocurrencies including wide adoption, fractionalized ownership and worldwide availability. PAXG allows anyone to invest without any of the restrictions of investing directly into gold. Finally, by owning Pax Gold, holders are able to leverage their funds in many more ways than a similar gold position could offer, including various Decentralized Finance (DeFi) applications, and trading opportunities.
