Bancor (BNT) is one of the first Decentralized Finance (DeFi) protocols ever, with its early, 2017 inception. Bancor’s users can trade and earn on the same platform, without any registration, or sign-up process. With Bancors staking features, users can deposit many crypto tokens, such as WBTC, AAVE, MATIC, ETH, LINK, and more, to potentially earn an annual percentage rate (APR) on their holdings, while reportedly being fully protected from impermanent loss. The entire ecosystem is governed by its Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO), where BNT holders have a direct say in various aspects of Bancor based on voting power awarded proportionally to their token holdings. Additionally, the Bancor Network Token (BNT) can be used to provide liquidity for Bancor’s exchange, in return for a share in all related transaction fees and interest.
