Who Is Satoshi Nakamoto?

Satoshi Nakamoto is a person or group of persons famous for creating blockchain technology. 

This was a foundation for the cryptocurrency revolution that we are now experiencing. The name is permanently linked with Bitcoin, but what adds an air of mystery to the whole identity is that the actual person, if there is a real Satoshi Nakamoto, has never been found. 

Some theories claim that Satoshi Nakamoto is not a single person but a group of inventors and developers that used the same to remain anonymous. Another view is that the name is a pseudonym for another person who used it to launch an outlandish concept to avoid backlash or criticism. 

Reason for Fame (and Mystery)

Satoshi Nakamoto wrote a paper in 2008 proposing a solution for transaction tracking and verification. This was the initial concept of blockchain and led to cryptocurrency development. 

The article recommended a decentralized process of tracing transactions, which yielded what we now know as blockchains. At the time, blockchains were a decentralized way of tracking money through the financial system. 

All information from Satoshi Nakamoto was issued digitally and is virtually impossible to trace to a specific location or person. There has been little to no personal and background information in the communication and papers he issued. This has added to the aura of mystery around the name.  

 Satoshi Nakamoto was active in late 2008 and up to 2011, which are now known as the early days of Bitcoin. In 2011, Satoshi Nakamoto announced that he/she had “moved on to other things,” and all communications from the name ended. This was way before blockchain achieved the popularity it has now. The lack of personalization has created a legend of sorts around the name. 

Over time, many people have been suggested to be the actual Satoshi Nakamoto, though they have not been proven to be the real person. 

There is still speculation and Twitter handles related to Satoshi Nakamoto and information sharing around the name. 

Why Satoshi Nakamoto Can Still Make a Difference

Suppose Satoshi Nakamoto or the group of people behind the name decide to sell off just some of their Bitcoin collection. In that case, the transaction can cause chaos in the cryptocurrency market.
